The Fond du Lac city council president says she thanks an exploratory committee for their work on potential development options at Lakeside Park, but is holding off on any detailed comment until the committee officially presents its recommendations to council later this month. The committee released its draft final report following its meeting last week. Council president LeAnn Lorrigan says she wants to see recommendations that address park utilization throughout the year, not just during the summer. At the top of the list of the committee recommendations is more hiking and biking trails in the park, an amphitheater for concerts, and a full-service restaurant. One option is renovating the pavilion in the center of the park as a restaurant. The committee is scheduled to present its findings and recommendations at the June 24th council meeting.
