Kelly Norton has been named president of St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac. Norton had been the interim president since March and before that was the director of advancement at the school. The announcement was made by the St. Mary’s Springs Academy Board of Directors.. “After a thorough and extensive interview process, the search committee felt that through her term as Interim President, and throughout the interview process, Kelly has demonstrated she has the leadership skills, knowledge and vision to continually advance St. Mary’s Springs Academy,” stated Board President, Carol Hyland. “Additionally, she has a sincere commitment to students, families, staff and stakeholders, understanding that we are successful because of our collective commitment to Catholic Education.” As Director of Advancement, Norton has been responsible for overseeing the Second Century Campaign which has raised over $22 million for the construction of a new PK – 5th grade school on the current campus of SMSA High School along with extensive renovation of the high school to house 6th-12th grades. In addition, she oversees all system fundraising, enrollment management, marketing and communications, and system strategic planning. “I am humbled and honored to be chosen to take on the role of President for St. Mary’s Springs Academy. I am excited to be able continue the tradition of superior Catholic Education in the Fond du Lac area and be part of the bright future ahead of us as we continue to increase enrollment and watch the construction of our new facility,” stated Norton.
