The Waupun police chief says additional charges are expected to be filed against a Waupun couple accused of sexually assaulting a three year old boy. The boy’s father, 26 year old Robert Moungey and his girlfriend, 25 year old Cassandra Scheuers are charged with first degree sexual assault of a child. Police chief Dale Heeringa says Moungey is accused of tying his son to a bed and taking pictures of Scheuers sexually assaulting the boy. “I’ve been a police officer for a lot of years and reading this complaint and talking with our detectives, this is one of the sickest, most perverted complaints I think I’ve dealt with in all my years in law enforcement,” Heeringa told WFDL news. Heeringa says the investigation is ongoing and says detectives are also investigating if there may be other victims.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
