6-18-15 fdl fire department says dinner flap blown out of proportion

The Fond du Lac Fire Department says a miscommunication over a dinner order at a local restaurant got blown out of proportion thanks to social media.    Division Chief of Fire prevention Troy Haase says an incident like this never would have been an issue before Facebook and says only the handful of people involved know the real story.  “People like to hear a little bit of controversy and I hope its over with now.  They apologized on Facebook and have offered us to come over and have a meal.  Its over with and in our opinion its done with and too bad it got that far,”  Haase told WFDL news.  Haase says the firefighters apologized for canceling an order at the last minute to respond to a fire call and the restaurant has apologized to the fire department for not understanding what the situation was.
