TOWN OF DEKORRA, Wis. (AP) — A 29-year-old man and his 4-year-old son have drowned in the Wisconsin River in the Town of Dekorra.  The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says in a statement that it got a call about 1 p.m. Friday that five people were in the river and yelling for help.  Sheriff Dennis Richards says they were on a sandbar that gave way.  Deputies rescued a woman and two other boys. Divers later found the 4-year-old boy about 4 p.m. He was pronounced dead at a Portage hospital. About two hours later they found the father, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  The incident remains under investigation but the sheriff’s office says foul play is not suspected.
