6-22-15 fdl teacher resignations

The Fond du Lac school board will consider one teacher retirement  and several  resignations at their meeting Monday evening.  Twelve teachers including four elementary, three middle school and three high school teachers are resigning due to a variety of reasons.   Some have accepted positions in other school districts, others are getting out of the teaching profession.

6-22-15 red granite quarry drowning

REDGRANITE, Wis. (AP) — An 18-year-old Appleton woman has drowned in Redgranite Quarry in Waushara County of central Wisconsin.  Redgranite Police Chief Kyle Tarr says authorities got a call just after 6 p.m. Friday of a swimmer who hadn't surfaced. TOWN OF DEKORRA, Wis. 6-19-15 fdl man convicted of arson fire

A North Fond du Lac man has been convicted of setting his ex-girlfriend’s apartment on fire.  At a hearing this week Laney Amons pleaded no contest to arson.  He will be sentenced in October.   Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Amons was accused of setting fire to the Home Town Harbor apartment complex on North Seymour Street a little more than a year ago.  According to a criminal complaint […]

6-19-15 151 bypass fatal

A Fond du Lac woman was killed in a two vehicle traffic crash  on the Highway 151 Bypass.  The Sheriff’s Office says a car operated by 80 year old Michael Butterfield of Fond du Lac was attempting to turn from the northbound lanes of the Bypass to travel west on Rienzi Road and turned his vehicle into the path of a southbound pick-up truck.  A passenger, 86 year old Susan […]
