6-17-15 fdl restaurant ripped on social media over handling of fire department takeout order

6-17-15 walleye weekend attendance

Fond du Lac Festivals estimates a slight increase in attendance at  this year’s Walleye Weekend despite the rain.  Fond du lac Festivals director Leanne Doyle  says  overall attendance was estimated at 65,000 compared to 63,000 last year.  Doyle says Friday’s attendance was estimated at about 15,000, 34 thousand on Saturday and 16,000 for Sunday.

The Fond du lac School superintendent says Fond du Lac Youth Baseball and the Recreation Department are making it work even though kids have fewer diamonds to play baseball on this summer. 6-17-15 fdl man accused of sexually assaulting two girls nearly 20 years ago

A Fond du Lac man has been charged with sexually molesting two girls nearly two decades ago.  Fifty six year old William Thomas is charged with two counts of sexually assaulting a child and one count of exposing genitals.  According to a criminal complaint Thomas is accused of fondling two girls when they were eight or nine in the mid 1990s.

6-17-15 new 70mph speed limit signs posted

6-17-15 fdl police community forums

The Fond du Lac police department will be hosting series of public forums for the east district .  The forums will be held Wednesday, next Tuesday and Thursday at the American Legion Hall on Fond du Lac Avenue.   Wednesday's forum starts at 3:30pm.  Residents are invited to discuss crime and neighborhood issues in the eastern district.
