7-10-15 city of fdl weekly construction update

The City of Fond du Lac is providing a weekly update on construction projects located within the corporate boundary. Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert when driving though any work zone. Drivers are also encouraged to visit the City of Fond du Lac web site at http://www.fdl.wi.gov and view a map of the 2015 construction projects which may aid drivers in planning an alternate route.
 West Division Street from Brooke Street east to the Fond du Lac River
Schedule:  April 20, 2015 to early October 2015
Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
July 13 to July 17: The excavation subcontractor continues to excavate the roadway and place the stone base.  The electrical contractor will begin to install electrical conduit and wiring. During electrical installation the street lights along Division St and the dead end streets of Sophia, Doty, Military, and John will not be functional.
Traffic Impacts:  West Division Street is closed to through traffic.  It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Residents, business owners, and customers may access properties past “ROAD CLOSED – LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY” signs. Parking is not permitted on the street during working hours.
Walker Street from West 12th Street to South Military Road
Schedule:  May 2015 to September 2015
Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
July 13 to July 17: The utility contractor completed the sanitary and water laterals and will return to installing storm sewer main and laterals.
Traffic Impacts:  Walker Street is closed to through traffic.  It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street during working hours.
Cedar Street from West 12th Street to West 9th Street
Schedule:  June 2015 to October 2015
Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
July 13 to July 17: The utility contractor has completed the sanitary sewer main and will be installing the water main.
Traffic Impacts:  Cedar Street is closed to through traffic.  It is illegal to drive past a “ROAD CLOSED” sign or to move any construction barricades. Parking is not permitted on the street during working hours.
 West 11th Street from South Hickory Street to Ann Street
Schedule:  August 2015 to October 2015
Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, street, and lighting.
July 13 to July 17: The boring contractor is scheduled to start July 20^th on the sanitary and water casing bores crossing the railroad.
Traffic Impacts:  West 11th Street remains open to traffic.
9th Street from Linden Street to Center Street
Schedule:  July 2015 to October 2015
Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the water main, street, and lighting.
July 13 to July 17: No work scheduled
Traffic Impacts:  9th Street remains open to traffic.
8th Street from South Main Street to Ellis Street
Schedule:  July 2015 to October 2015
Description:  The project includes reconstruction of the water main, spot repairs of sidewalk and street.
July 13 to July 17: No work scheduled
Traffic Impacts:  8th Street remains open to traffic.
