A 16 year old Milwaukee boy is in custody after leading Fond du Lac police on a high speed chase before crashing the stolen vehicle into a light pole in the city of Fond du Lac. Assistant police chief Steve Klein tells WFDL news the incident unfolded shortly after 7pm Wednesday when Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle near Hickory and Scott Streets. Klein says the vehicle had been stolen in a carjacking in Milwaukee. Officers spotted the vehicle in the Kwik Trip parking lot on North Park Avenue. A chase ensued and cotinnued out of the city on Johnson Street. The suspect made a u-turn on Highway 23 at County Highway UU and came back into the city. Klein says the chase ended when the suspect slammed his vehicle into a light pole and some trees on Johnson Street near National Avenue. He then attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by police K9 Paco. Klein says the suspect was not injured. He was transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.
