7-14-15 small plane emergency landing

todayJuly 13, 2015

SPRING GREEN, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say no one was hurt when a small plane had to make an emergency landing in a cornfield in Sauk County.  Sheriff Chip Meister says the 1946 Taylorcraft airplane had “only minor damage” after landing Thursday evening in the cornfield in Spring Green. He says the pilot, Michael Ramos of Dodgeville, didn’t think he’d be able to make it to a nearby airport after realizing the plane was having engine trouble.  Meister says no passengers were on the plane. He says the cornfield had “moderate damage.”
