The investigation continues into the death of a Green Lake area man in Illinois. Green Lake County Sheriff’s chief deputy Mark Putzke says 60 year old William Carlson was killed in a domestic related incident Sunday in River Forest, Illinois. “It was a weapons-related incident involving a younger male party that he knew in a domestic situation,” Putzke told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program. Putzke says nearly a week earlier authorities seized a large amount of marijuana during a search of the man’s home near Green Lake.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
