7-21-15 oshkosh man charged in fdl county with child sex assault

Bail has been set at $500,000 for an Oshkosh man accused of sexually assaulting four children when he lived in Ripon in the 1990s.  Chris Ziemer made his initial Fond du Lac court appearance on four counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and one count of sexual assault of a child younger than 13.   According to a criminal complaint two of the alleged victims are Ziemer’s nieces.  All […]

7-21-15 beaver dam shooting suspect makes initial court appearance

(AP) — The state's troubled job creation agency's board has approved hiring a national consultant to review its operations.  The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation's board voted unanimously during a meeting Monday at Fox Valley Technical College in Oshkosh to hire The Council for Regional Economic Competitiveness to review the agency's mission, goals, structure and procedures. (AP) — The Wisconsin state Assembly plans to vote next week on a public financing deal to pay for a new Milwaukee Bucks arena.  Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke said Monday that the Assembly will be in session on July 28 to debate the bill. OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Republican Gov. Scott Walker has signed a bill that gives state troopers a 6 percent raise.  The governor signed the measure at Fox Valley Technical College in Oshkosh on Monday morning.  Troopers haven't had a pay raise since 2009. 7-21-15 prosthetic hand project

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (AP) — Fox Valley Technical College is taking part in a worldwide project that uses a 3-D printer to create mechanical, prosthetic hands.  The college's Fab Lab Club signed on to the e-Nable project last fall. Several construction projects are underway or nearing completion in Fond du lac.  Community Development Director Dyann Benson says after a brief lag in construction the Hampton Inn project is almost done.  The Meadows Senior apartment complex on Rolling Meadows Drive is anticipated to be completed by the end of the year; and the contractor is setting roof trusses on the Mercury Marine expansion project.
