BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Justice is helping a sheriff's office investigate a cold case homicide in which the only clue is a human skull.  Jackson County sheriff's officials say loggers found the skull in a remote wooded area near the Village of Warrens in August 1978. The Department of Public Works would like to inform the motoring public  that the north bound lane of Military Road will be closed from 9th Street to north of Grove Street beginning Wednesday morning July 15th due to water main repair work. It will remain closed until Monday, July 20th. Southbound traffic is not affected, but drivers are asked to use caution as they travel through the area.
