7-10-15 fisherman drowns in northern wi lake

BOULDER JUNCTION, Wis. (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a Florida man who fell overboard while fishing in a northern Wisconsin lake.  The Vilas County sheriff's office says the body of 62-year-old Charles Armitage of Mount Dora, Florida, was recovered about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.  The sheriff's office got a 911 call about a drowning on White Sand Lake in Boulder Junction Tuesday afternoon. 7-10-15 missing sisters found safe in wyoming mountains

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Searchers have found a Milwaukee woman and her two sisters, who were missing for days in a northwest Wyoming wilderness area.  Search spokeswoman Lori Iverson said Thursday that the three are cold and hungry but otherwise healthy. Alliant Energy and Fond du Lac fire crews have repaired a gas main leak.  Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says sidewalk construction crews accidentally struck a natural gas main in the area of 9th and Lloyd Streets over the lunch hour.  Haase says residents in a two block area were evacuated and police squads blocked the streets to traffic.  The leak was repaired and residents were allowed to return to […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state budget is now in Governor Scott Walker's hands.  The state Assembly early Thursday morning voted 52-46 to pass the $73 billion two-year spending plan. The Senate passed it on Tuesday.  The action means the budget is now before Walker, who can reshape it through line-item vetoes. Walker has not said when he plans to sign it.
