7-24-15 senator johnson introduces bill to name fdl post office after war hero

7-23-15 arrest warrant issued for chicago man in death of fdl infant

An Illinois woman has been charged in connection with the death of her infant son and police are looking for the woman’s boyfriend.    Twenty four year old Airealle Smart made her initial Fond du lac court appearance Wednesday on a charges of neglecting a child causing death.  Judge Robert Wirtz set bail at $150,000 cash.  A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 31st.  Meanwhile  assistant police chief Steve Klein […]

7-23-15 unemployment rates up locally

The local unemployment rate is up slight in the latest reporting period.  The state Department of Workforce Development says the city of Fond du Lac’s jobless rate in June stands at 4.9 percent…up one tenth of a percent from May.  The Fond du Lac County rate inched up from 4.2 percent in May to 4.4 percent in June.  In Dodge County the June unemployment rate stands at 4.7 percent up […]

7-23-15 employee of tomah va arrested for selling drugs

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — An employee of the Tomah Veterans Affairs Medical Center and two others have been arrested on charges of selling or attempting to sell illegal drugs at the facility.  The Tomah Police Department and the veterans hospital announced the arrests on Wednesday.
