STAR PRAIRIE, Wis. (AP) — A nearly 15-hour search for an armed 14-year-old boy wanted in Wisconsin has come to an end in eastern Minnesota. The teen is a suspect in the theft of two cars, a home burglary and high-speed chase in western Wisconsin Monday. Authorities say the boy was armed with a handgun when he attempted a burglary at a home in the Woodville area of St. Croix County. He also led law enforcement officers on a chase after he was spotted in New Richmond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
