A counselor will be available this afternoon at the STEM Academy in Fond du lac after a student died in an all-terrain vehicle accident in Missouri. Grant Corbin died in the accident Thursday. He was seriously injured in a bicycle accident in Fond du Lac last fall. A counselor will be on hand from 1-3 pm today at the STEM Academy. Grant’s funeral will be held in St. Louis, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at Salem United Methodist Church in Fond du Lac on August 21st.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
