The director of the Marquette University Law School poll says the recent numbers show governor Scott Walker’s favorability continuing to slide. The poll released last week shows Walker still ahead of the other Republican candidates in Wisconsin…but down 15 points from April. Poll director Charles Franklin says the latest poll also reflects the growing support for the so-called political outsiders in the race like Ben Carson, Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina. Franklin says in the first debate Walker didn’t make any mistakes, but also went largely unnoticed.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
