George Illetschko of Fond du Lac won the top prize in the August 22 SuperCash drawing. His winning ticket matched all six numbers of 2, 4, 11, 23, 24 and 39 to win the $350,000 prize. Illetschko purchased his winning ticket at Korneli’s Main Street Express, 506 South Main Street in Fond du Lac. After taxes, Illetschko received a payment of $235,725. Korneli’s earns a $7,000 retailer incentive (or 2% of the total prize) for selling the winning ticket. Winners at all prize levels have 180 days from the drawing to claim their prizes by mail or in person at the Lottery’s Madison or Milwaukee offices.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
