8-20-15 dodge county sheriff pleased placement orders are rescinded for two convicted child sex offenders

The Dodge County Sheriff says he’s pleased that two dangerous child sex offenders have been removed from a town of Leroy residence.  In separate rulings recently judges rescinded orders placing  Jonathon Miller and Robert Larson at the Brownsville area residence.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says when the placement orders were issued law enforcement was unaware that young children were living next door.  Schmidt says the situation raises the question of communication […]

Police say a Fond du Lac woman was sexually assaulted by a man in New York state she met online.  Fond du lac police contacted Endicott New York police about a possible missing and endangered woman who traveled there to visit a man she had met online.  Using cell phone tower and other information Endicott police found the 52 year old woman at the man’s home.  She told investigators the […]

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (AP) — The National Weather Service confirms a tornado caused damage in the Lake Geneva area.  Weather service staff surveyed the damage caused by Tuesday night's severe weather in Walworth County and determined a EF1 twister touched down. GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A plan to return excess revenue from a 15-year sales tax to renovate and maintain Lambeau Field could be a windfall for Brown County's cities, villages and towns.  An estimated $17.6 million could be left over after the county's half-percent stadium sales tax ends on Sept. 30.
