WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin State Fair has wrapped up.  The fair tweeted Monday that more than one million people visited the State Fair this year during its 11-day run, which ended Sunday in suburban West Allis.  The fair was on track to sell 400,000 cream puffs, which rivals anything-on-a-stick in popularity.  Fair spokeswoman Kristi Chuckel attendance peaked last Saturday when nearly 137,000 people visited the fair grounds. 8-16-15 woman found dead in parking lot in dodge county

The Dodge County Sheriff’s  Office is investigating the death of a woman.  Early Sunday morning the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to 911  call at N866 County Rd R Watertown, WI for an unresponsive woman in the parking lot.  Emergency personnel responded and the woman was transported to Watertown Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. 8-16-15 elderly man dies from injuries in dodge county motor vehicle crash

An elderly Nashota man has died from injured suffered in a motor vehicle crash in Dodge County last week. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 87 year old Charles Scheurell died Friday at UW Hospital in Madison.  Scheurell was involved in a crash  on Highway 151 south of  Forest Road last Wednesday when his car was rear-ended by an SUV.  The SUV driver received minor injuries.

8-15-15 fire destroys fdl county barn

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a barn in Fond du lac County.  Firefighters from a dozen departments were called to the the scene at  N4578 River Road, in the Town of Byron Friday night.   The barn contained approximately 250 round style hay bales.  The barn and its contents are considered a total loss.  The fire is believed to be caused by a lightning strike.

On Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:37am the Fond du Lac County Communications Center received a call of a one vehicle crash on Lap Rd north of Golf Course Rd in the Township of Taycheedah. SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — Several thousand volunteers are working to ensure the 2015 PGA Championship runs smoothly in the Sheboygan area. From checking bags to manning concession stands, golf fans say  it's the ultimate volunteer experience. Although volunteers must pay a fee to participate, they receive golf gear and a credential allowing them to watch the golf when they're not working.
