A preliminary Fond du lac School District budget includes a nearly five percent increase in the tax rate and staff reductions.   The School board met in a workshop this week to review preliminary budget figures. (AP) — Some lawmakers are reviving an idea to merge the University of Wisconsin System's 13 two-year colleges with the state's 16 technical college districts.  A handful of Assembly Republicans are considering the proposal to reshape public higher education in Wisconsin. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance says property values statewide have risen for a second year.  The report released Wednesday shows values of all taxable property increased 2.4 percent in 2015. Values went up 2.6 percent in 2014 after five years of decline.  The Taxpayers Alliance says the total value of property at just under $491 billion is still about $25 billion below the 2008 peak.  Of the […]

Waupun police say two individuals involved in a one vehicle crash this week are suspects in a rash of garage burglaries in Waupun.  Earlier this week Fond du Lac County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report that a vehicle had run off the road at Esterbrook and Rogersville Roads. WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov.
