Fond du Lac police arrested a 17 year old boy shortly after he escaped  from the Fond du Lac County Health Care Center.  Assistant police chief  Steve Thiry, says the incident happened shortly after 9:30am Tuesday morning.   The subject was located outside Roberts School and taken into custody without further incident.  Thiry says  the subject was not armed and not posing a threat to anyone.  Thiry says rumors of […]

8-12-15 weak tornado touches down in washington county

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (AP) — Forecasters say a weak tornado touched down in Washington County, but there were no injuries or significant damage.  The National Weather Service classified the tornado as an EF0, which developing Monday afternoon near Germantown. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker is seeking a federal disaster designation for three Wisconsin counties where farmers lost nearly a third of their ginseng crop this spring.  Walker's office on Tuesday asked U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack for the designation for Langlade, Lincoln and Marathon counties. The just-finalized Clean Power Plan from the Environmental Protection Agency places the first-ever limits on dangerous carbon pollution emissions from existing power plants, which the agency says will curb climate-change pollution and protect public health.
