8-4 Bipartisan Task Forces Created

Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has created three bipartisan task forces to issue recommendations for law changes in the coming months. The groups will study Alzheimer's and dementia, urban education and youth workforce readiness. The Republican-led committees will begin their work this summer with the goal of completing it by the end of next year.

8-4 2 Million Left Unclaimed by Wisconsin Lotto Winners

Wisconsin lottery officials say more than $2 million was left on the table by people who had winning tickets but failed to collect their cash in fiscal year 2015. More than $57 million has gone unclaimed since 1997. Each year, the amount typically fell between $2 million and $4 million. Unclaimed winnings go toward property tax relief in Wisconsin, showing up as a gaming credit on property tax bills.

8-4 Suspect Wanted In Infant Homicide Caught in Texas

The Fond du Lac Police department says a fugitive wanted in connection to the death of a 14-month baby has been caught. Twenty-nine-year-old Daniel Antwon Griffin was arrested on Tuesday in Dallas, Texas. The Fond du Lac Police Department cooperated with the United States Marshal’s Office to track Griffin down. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A new report has uncovered hundreds of accessibility problems for the disabled at Wisconsin voting sites. The state Government Accountability Board conducted inspections at 808 sites over the past seven elections and found nearly 4,000 accessibility problems. The GAB's report said 42 percent of the violations were serious enough that they could prevent a disabled voter from casting a private and independent ballot.

Business Facilities magazine, has ranked Fond du Lac County  ninth in the nation for advanced manufacturing specialization. No other Wisconsin metro was ranked in the top 10.  FCEDC president Steve Jenkins says this was a new category for the 11th annual ranking by Business Facilities because of the growing importance of advanced manufacturing to the national economy.
