10-1-15 brandon man dies from injuries suffered in weekend crash

A Brandon man has died from injuries received in a two vehicle  crash on Highway 151 in Dodge County over the weekend.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says 78 year old Orville Kemink died Wednesday afternoon at the hospital.  Kemink was critically injured in the crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of 151 and Oakwood Road.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says Kemink was in the median crossover on 151 when he […]

10-1-15 fire significantly damages waupun home

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a house in Waupun.  Waupun fire chief B.J. DeMaa says firefighters were called to the scene on Fond du lac Street over the noon hour.  DeMaa says damage to the home was significant.  Nobody was injured in the fire.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker's approval rating is still falling even after his exit from the presidential race last week.  A Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday shows Walker's job approval rating is 37 percent. 10-1-15 k9 grendel euthanized

The Fond du Lac police department says retired K-9 officer “Grendel”  has been euthanized due to a serious and deteriorating health problem.  Grendel and his handler Officer Ryan Williams were both shot and critically injured in March of 2011 by a gunman who shot and killed officer Craig Birkholz.    Grendel was officially retired from the department in April of last year after eight years on the force.  A police […]
