The University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac Student Government Association (SGA) has joined with the efforts of the National Campus Leadership Council (NCLC) to prevent sexual assault on campuses across the country. A short skit will be presented by UW-Fond du Lac theater and SGA students to raise awareness of the issue, 12:30-1:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, in the University Center Commons. Students will also be invited to sign a bystander intervention pledge during this time. Student organizations have been asked by NCLC to host events and raise awareness, discuss resources available on campus and answer questions about sexual assault.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
