SHIOCTON, Wis. (AP) — Authorities are investigating an airplane crash in east-central Wisconsin. The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department was called late Saturday about the crash just north of the Shiocton Airport. The plane was flying to the airport when it turned over and crashed into a cornfield. No injuries were reported. The sheriff’s department has not released how many people were in the airplane.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
