OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Oshkosh police have arrested a 30-year-old man suspected in the killing of a woman in an apartment. Police say the man was arrested without incident just before noon Sunday. A 911 caller had reported the man was walking in an area of Oshkosh. The man was wanted in the killing of a 42-year-old woman that was reported early Sunday. Police were called on a report of gunshots just after 1 a.m. Officers found the woman dead in an upper apartment. The name of the victim was not released.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
