Doug Trost, St. Francis Home president & chief executive officer, is serving as Board of Directors and Executive Committee chairperson for LeadingAge Wisconsin, a statewide association based in Madison, Wisconsin. St. Francis Home, a Fond du Lac-based organization – under the umbrella of Agnesian HealthCare – provides skilled, assisted and independent living settings for seniors, as well as short-term rehabilitation services. Trost has been serving on the LeadingAge Wisconsin Board of Directors since May 2010. Most recently, he held the position of chair elect. Leading this statewide association seems to come naturally for Trost. Very recently, as chair elect and chair of the Awards Committee, he worked to further enhance and strengthen the association’s leadership development academy. Trost assumed the role of chair of this association, which is providing record-level services in many areas, including developing new services for assisted living and senior housing communities, developing new leaders throughout the association, and assisting member effort to recruit and retain high quality caregivers . As the new chair, Trost continues to champion the not-for-profit, long-term care and senior housing providers throughout the state. As LeadingAge Wisconsin chair, Trost is the principal governing officer of the association and is responsible for leading and directing the association’s 23-member Board of Directors. Trost represents all LeadingAge Wisconsin members at the annual state leadership meetings sponsored by the national LeadingAge association, which represents over 6,000 long-term care and senior housing communities across the United States.
