9-11-15 badger exam replacement

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state of Wisconsin has found a replacement for the statewide Badger Exam given to public school students.  The Department of Public Instruction said Thursday it intends to contract with Data Recognition Corp. for a new assessment exam. 9-10-15 interstate 41 crash slows traffic

All lanes on Interstate 41 between Fond du Lac and Oshkosh are open and traffic is flowing again following a motor vehicle crash this morning.  The state patrol says the crash happened shortly before 8am on northbound 41 just south of Highway 26.  The left lane of 41 was re-opened to traffic shortly after 8:30am.

9-10-15 fdl council approves pedal pub ordinance

(AP) — A Wisconsin state Assembly committee has passed a Republican-backed bill opposed by the University of Wisconsin that would prohibit research using tissue obtained from aborted fetuses.  Wednesday's vote makes the bill available for a vote by the full Assembly as soon as later this month. EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker says the U.S. should not take in Syrian refugees.  Walker clarified his position after refusing to address the question when asked about it in New Hampshire. The Wisconsin governor told reporters in Eau Claire that America should focus on taking out the Islamic State terrorist group to solve the humanitarian crisis in Syria.
