9-5-15 fdl man sentenced in child sex assault case

A Fond du Lac man is going to prison for sexually assaulting a 14 year old girl.  Thirty eight year old Gary Taylor was sentenced to seven years in prison and 12 years extended supervision.  Taylor was earlier convicted of repeated sexual assault of the same child.

A former supervisor at Fond du Lac’s two outdoor swimming pools and assistant coach with the Fondy Swim Club accused of sexually assaulting a lifeguard has been bound over for trial.  Ryan Ronayne waived his preliminary hearing Friday on charges of sexual assault of a child by a person who works with children and one count of child enticement.    Ronayne was also employed with the Green Lake County Sheriff’s […]

9-5-15 new fdl area united way director

The United Way Board of Directors has hired Amber Kilawee as the new executive director of the Fond du Lac Area United Way organization.  Kilawee has worked for the United Way for eight years, starting as a college intern.  She replaces longtime director Tina Potter who retired earlier this year.  The United Way kicks off its annual fundraising campaign this month.

9-5-15 nail salon gunman charged

A Fond du Lac man accused of threatening an ex girlfriend with a gun at a nail salon has been charged.  Nineteen year old Jerry Yang is charaged with recklessly endangering safety, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and disorderly conduct with a dangerous weapon.  Bail was set at $25,000 cash.  Police say the incident occurred Friday August 28th when Yang entered the Sky Nails Salon near the Festival […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Natural Resources has confirmed round gobies have been found in the lower Fox River.  DNR officials said  that the fish were caught immediately below the Neenah dam.
