MILWAUKEE (AP) — The city council in Milwaukee has approved its piece of the $250 million public financing package that will fund half of a new Milwaukee Bucks arena.  Members of the Common Council on Tuesday agreed to spend $47 million in city taxpayer money to help build an arena to replace the 27-year-old BMO Harris Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. 9-22-15 state supreme court justice crooks dies in chambers

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Patrick Crooks died Monday in his chambers in the state Capitol. Crooks announced last week that he planned to retire when his term ended in July. Governor Scott has the power to appoint someone to fill Crooks' seat before then. His spokeswoman says he'll decide what to do at a more appropriate time.
