Earlier this summer, the City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue along with the firefighters union kicked off a statewide campaign to bring Child ID Kits to all children K-12. Fire chief Pete O’Leary says the fundraising effort has incredible success locally and Sunday Fond du lac firefighters will travel to the Packer game to help the statewide effort. The firefighters will be greeting fans outside Lambeau Field asking for donations.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
