Fond du lac police are investigating a motel robbery. On October 25, 2015 at 11:09 p.m. the Fond du Lac Police Department responded to a reported robbery at the Microtel Hotel (920 S. Military Rd). There was no weapon or threat of a weapon. An undisclosed sum of money was taken and the suspect fled the area. The investigation is continuing. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
