10-22-15 unemployment rate down locally

Unemployment rates are down in cities and counties across the state in the latest reporting period.  The city of Fond du lac’s unemployment rate in September stands at 3.5 percent, down three tenths of a percent from August.  The Fond du Lac County rate dropped from 3.6 to 3.2 percent.  In Dodge County the unemployment rate fell from 3.8 to 3.5 percent in September.

10-20-15 fire destroys barn in fdl county

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a barn in Fond du Lac County.  At 7:22 pm Tuesday the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and St. Cloud Fire Department were dispatched to a barn fire at W111 Glen Rd in the Township of Forest.  The barn and its contents are considered a total loss.  No livestock were lost and no one was injured in the fire.  The cause of […]
