10-20-15 no annual increase for social security recipients

Every year Social Security recipients have their monthly benefit amount adjusted based on the cost of living. For the past several years, recipients have seen a slight increase in their check, but this year there will be no cost of living adjustment. 10-20-15 owner of whitefish bay jewelry store apologizes to milwaukee bucks player john henson

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (AP) — Milwaukee Bucks player John Henson says the owner of a suburban Whitefish Bay jewelry store where he claims employees racially profiled him apologized for what happened. Henson says Schwanke-Kasten Jewelers owner Thomas Dixon met with him at the team's training facility on Tuesday. Henson says employees on Monday refused to let him in the store, then called police.

10-20-15 senate approves upskirting bill

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Senate has approved a bill that would make secretly taking a photo of someone's body parts a stand-alone felony. District attorneys typically prosecute it as a misdemeanor invasion of privacy. The bipartisan bill would make upskirting a felony punishable by up to 3½ years in prison. The measure goes to Governor Scott Walker for his signature.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Senate has confirmed Gov. Scott Walker's decision to appoint a campaign donor to lead his troubled economic development agency.  Walker appointed Mark Hogan to replace Reed Hall as CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation in September. (AP) — Forecasts are calling for a bumper crop of soybeans and corn for Minnesota and Wisconsin farmers this year.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture forecasts record soybean production in Minnesota and Wisconsin, and record corn production in Minnesota.
