MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Department of Justice is reviewing a complaint filed by nine Republican lawmakers alleging that the state elections board routinely violated the open meetings law. The lawmakers sent Attorney General Brad Schimel a letter Wednesday alleging that testimony by Government Accountability Board Chairman Gerald Nichol "raised serious questions" about whether the law was violated. DOJ spokeswoman Anne Schwartz says the letter is under review.

The City of Fond du Lac Water Utility has scheduled bi-annual citywide unidirectional water main flushing to begin on Monday, October 19th in the northeast section of the city. Flushing will continue in the southeast neighborhood on Tuesday, the southwest area on Wednesday morning and finish in the northwest quadrant Wednesday afternoon, October 21st. 10-14-15 month long jury trial scheduled in fdl county cold case murder

10-14-15 reeseville man convicted of possession of child porn

A Reeseville man faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison after being convicted of possession of child pornography.  Thirty four year old Adam Rogers was convicted of 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography after a two-day jury trial in Dodge County.  A Wisconsin Department of Justice analyst testified that the defendant had approximately 40,000 provocative images of children, the majority of which met the […]

Oshkosh police are investigating an overnight shooting that critically injured a man.  Police say the 47 year old man was found in a car with a gunshot wound to the head.  He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

10-14-15 escaped inmates

Law enforcement is still looking for two inmates who escaped from the Winnebago County Correctional Center Friday evening.  Oshkosh police say the suspects are 21-year-old Austin W. Reynolds and 21-year-old Leland C. Larock.   Reynolds and Larock escaped about 6:15 p.m. Friday, according to police. They left the facility on foot.  Reynolds is from Menasha.  Police say Larock may travel to the Green Bay area.

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Department is encouraging residents to get their flu shots now.
