10-14-15 fdl city budget-public hearing

The public gets a chance to comment on the proposed budget.  A public hearing is being held  at  Wednesday night’s Fond du Lac city council meeting.  Following a workshop session last month Fond du lac city council president  LeeAnn Lorrigan  said she doesn’t anticipate the council making any changes in the budget.  The budget includes a 2.5 percent increase in the tax rate with a 4.6 percent levy increase.

MILWAUKEE (AP) —The fall harvest of Wisconsin's official state fruit is in full swing.  Cranberries are the state's number one fruit crop and are grown on 21,000 acres in 20 counties in central and northern Wisconsin.  This year federal agricultural officials expect Wisconsin's cranberry industry to produce five million barrels of fruit.
