10-9-15 bill would overhaul high capacity well regulations

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican state Senator Rob Cowles has introduced a bill that would overhaul high-capacity well regulations. Under the bill, the if the DNR believes cumulative high-capacity wells could deplete streams and lakes to the point of killing aquatic life and impeding navigation it can ask the Legislature for a sensitive resource area designation. That would allow the DNR the to impose stricter permit conditions.

Draiochta Labs will be hosting a gaming day to support Extra Life on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from noon to Sunday, October 18, 2015 at noon. Extra Life is a nationwide effort to raise donations for Children’s Hospitals. Individuals can be sponsored to play games for a certain number of hours or donations can be freely accepted. MILWAUKEE (AP) — Company officials say Gannett Co. is buying newspaper company Journal Media Group for $280 million.  Journal Media publications dot the Midwest and South and include the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Memphis (Tennessee) Commercial-Appeal.
