At about 6pm on November 3, 2015 the Dodge County Drug Task Force and the Beaver Dam Police Department served a search warrant for a residence in the 800 block of Madison St in the City of Beaver Dam. The Dodge County Multi-Jurisdictional SWAT Team deployed a loud distraction device during the service of the warrant. No injuries were reported following the service of the search warrant and no shots were fired. Due to this case being an active drug investigation, limited information is able to be released at this time. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Beaver Dam Police Department, and all other Dodge County Law Enforcement Agencies take the distribution and use of illicit drugs very seriously and actively pursue those who sell them in our communities. A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
