MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A 40-foot balsam fir from a Rhinelander farm will be the Wisconsin Capitol Christmas tree this year. Governor Scott Walker says the tree is being donated by Brad and Elizabeth Kowieski of Rhinelander. Walker’s office says Brad Kowieski planted the tree on Arbor Day in 1985 at his parents’ house. The tree is typically on display after Thanksgiving until the New Year.
