A soup lunch/bake sale/raffle drawing will be held on Thursday, November 19th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the City/County Government Center located at 160 S. Macy Street in Fond du Lac. Soup choices will be Chicken Noodle which will be prepared by MPTC culinary students; Chili or Tuscan. The cost is $4.00 which includes soup and bread. Bake sale items will be 50¢ each. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each or 3 for $10.00. Win an iPad Mini 3 or a basket of gift certificates. The drawing will be held at 1:00 pm on November 19th. Proceeds will benefit the Fond du Lac Area United Way.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
