MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin state Assembly is playing both the French and U.S. national anthems to begin its session day.  Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says the decision to play France’s national anthem Monday was meant as a sign of solidarity to show Wisconsin stands united against terrorism. Republicans and Democrats joined hands and stood silently as a recording of France’s national anthem played in the chamber. They remained standing and sang the “Star Spangled Banner.”  Synchronized terrorist attacks Friday night in Paris killed 129 people.  Vos says Republican lawmakers are sending a letter to President Barack Obama’s administration calling for a halt in acceptance of Syrian refugees in the state until security screenings are enhanced. A Syrian passport was found near one of the suspected terrorists.
