11-19-15 aaa projects slight increase in holiday travel

AAA forecasts nearly 47 million Americans will journey 50 miles or more from home during the Thanksgiving holiday.  That’s a o.6 percent increase nationwide compared to last year.  In Wisconsin AAA projects a 1.4 percent jump in holiday travel.  AAA spokesman Nick Jarmuscz says one holiday gift has come early this year in the form of low gas prices.  Gas prices yesterday dropped to below two dollars a gallon in many parts of the state including Fond du Lac.  Jarmuscz says traffic will start picking up the middle of next week with tthe busiest travel days on Wednesday and Sunday.
