The Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation held a ribbon cutting/grand opening ceremony to celebrate the opening of Swenson Tool & Die at its new Campbellsport location. The event held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 283 Industrial Parkway, Campbellsport, WI introduced attendees to the new facility and the technology it boasted. Owners Wayne and Teri Swenson welcomed attendees. Additional remarks were made by Bob Poch of Keller, Inc. as well as FCEDC President, Steve Jenkins, and Village of Campbellsport President, David Krebs, at the ceremony. “Swenson’s Tool is a welcome addition to the community of Campbellsport and Fond du Lac County and why the County’s Special Allocation Fund created as a result of the sales tax is so important,” stated Allen Buechel, County Executive, Fond du Lac County. “The Fund helps bring a quality employer like Swenson’s to our communities and increase opportunities for our citizens. We are extremely excited about Swenson’s Tool & Die decision to locate in Campbellsport and we look forward to the positive impact the company will have on Fond du Lac County.” Swenson Tool was established in July 2012 in Kewaskum and recently relocated their operations to the Campbellsport Business Park after receiving funding from the county’s Community Development Block Grant Program as well as the Fond du Lac County’s Small Business Revolving Loan Fund, administered by FCEDC. “We are excited to have Swenson Tool and Die in the Village of Campbellsport,” added Village of Campbellsport President, David Krebs. “They are a great fit for our industrial park and look forward to the job opportunities they will provide in our community.” Swenson Tool & Die employs 24 employees. The business casts plates used at other factories to brace parts during welding. The company has the capability to create an array of parts for different industries. “We welcome Swenson’s to Fond du Lac County and Campbellsport in particular”, stated Steve Jenkins, president of the Fond du Lac County Economic Development Corporation. “Their new facility was a collaborative effort of the Village, the County, FCEDC, and Keller Inc.” “We would like to thank the Village of Campbellsport and Fond du Lac County for the all their support in this project,” added Wayne Swenson. “We have received a very warm welcome from the Campbellsport community and this is much appreciated.”
