11-20-15 deer hunt-snow

todayNovember 19, 2015

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Deer hunters in southern Wisconsin might see significant snow on the ground for opening day after all.  Initial forecasts called for scattered snow showers heading into Saturday. New modeling from the National Weather Service, however, shows a snowstorm could move across Illinois and into southern Wisconsin Friday. The storm could dump 4 inches to 7 inches of snow south of a line running roughly from De Soto to Port Washington between Friday afternoon and Saturday. A winter storm watch has been posted for that region from Friday night through Saturday.  Areas as far north as Wausau also could see around an inch of snow.  Snow typically makes deer stand out and makes them easier to track.
