A teenage runaway was captured in a stolen vehicle in Fond du Lac County. The pickup was stolen from an Oshkosh Kwik Trip store early Thursday morning. A state patrol officer located the vehicle on southbound Highway 41 just north of the city of Fond du Lac and with assistance from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office pulled the vehicle over on 41 south of Highway 151. A 14 year old runaway was taken into custody.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
