The cost of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be down slightly from last year according to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s annual look at the price of a Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people. The informal survey found the cost of traditional items like turkey, cubed stuffing, cranberries and pumpkin pie was $50 or 1.5 percent less than last year. Farm Bureau spokesman Casey Langan says the average price of turkey in Wisconsin was unchanged from last year.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
