11-25-15 agnesian healthcare journeys library branch to transition

todayNovember 25, 2015

Journeys: a health resource center and the Fond du Lac Public Library are excited to join a nationwide movement to make books accessible to everyone through a new Take a Book, Leave a Book exchange starting January first.   Take a Book, Leave a Book will replace the full-service library branch that has been operating at Journeys since 2011. The exchange welcomes everyone to take and leave books as they like, no lending, no charge. It will be similar in spirit to the Little Free Library movement, which began in Wisconsin in 2009 and has become an international phenomenon, but on a larger scale.  Library patrons will be able to check out, pick up items and place holds at Journeys through December. Those services at Journeys will cease with the New Year. Patrons can go to the remaining two locations: the Main Library downtown and the Library Express, near Festival Foods.
