Santa will be making his annual visit to North Fond du Lac on Monday, December 7th. Santa and his elves will leave the police department and begin a tour of the Village at 5:30PM. In addition to cruising through the neighborhoods in a police car, Santa will make brief stops at Tot Park, LeMieux Park and Optimists Park to hand out candy canes to children. After his neighborhood visits, Santa will be joining kids and parents for a specil story time with Santa, including milk and cookies. New this year, due to the popularity of the event and the number of participants, Santa’s story time will take place at the North Fond du Lac Community Center, 280 Garfield Street. Parents can bring cameras to take pictures of their children with Santa.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
